Founder & CEO
If Mariam had to choose four important things in her life, she would pick: social justice, meaningful connection, games, and laughter - untangle is the love child of these four things.
Mariam has extensive experience in the sex and consent education space: she designed and facilitated sex-positive university workshops; directed a play which prioritized stories on gender inequality, LGBTQ+ experiences, and sexual violence; and wrote a thesis and produced a mini-documentary on the relationship and sexual experiences of BIPOC.
She also has experience in impact investing, non-profit advisory, management consulting, and implementing diversity & inclusion strategies.

Tillie, an experienced graphic designer, illustrator, and market strategist, has helped change-makers find their voice. She has worked for tech, sustainability, and retail brands.
The untangle branding, specifically the simple iconography and poses of the logo and cards, is meant to exemplify the detangling needed to find and create intimacy with others and ourselves. Tillie cares about ensuring Untangle’s design and marketing highlights the fun we can have while discussing sensitive topics and discovering who we are.
